Casting Call for Unique Staging Stories and Case Studies
Casting Call for Unique Staging Stories and Case Studies
Feb 25, 2014 by Jennie Norris
As you most likely know, Stagedhomes.com works closely with media outlets – television, radio, newspapers, magazines, bloggers, podcasters and many more – and we are often asked to contribute stories.
We are frequently asked to provide clever ideas and tips, as well as anecdotal stories, about how you as Home Stager and/or REALTOR® made one important tweak to a house that helped it sell. Stories that need to go beyond general tips people already know, truly unique personal staging stories.
Here’s an example: Most people are right handed so they walk into a house and look to the right first and they veer to the right first. If there’s something really ugly to the right like a wall heater that you can’t put a piece of art on, then you hit the left so hard with something beautiful that makes them turn to the left instead and they totally avoid seeing what was on the right.
Think about topics such as
furniture placement
what kinds of accessories to add (maybe rolled-up towels in the bathroom or candles and how to group/arrange them)
turning a dead space into something appealing to home buyers
lighting tricks
how to make spaces feel bigger
using paint to spruce up a space
displaying art
adding flowers
making your kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms look their best
