Here are some of the questions I have received during recent conversations with prospective ASPs® Real Estate Agents. Do I really need to know Staging as a Realtor®? As a Realtor® you’re charged with the task of making a property stand out among others in your marketplace. Sellers look to you for guidance, and they want to know what you will do to sell their home faster and for the highest price possible. Earning the Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP®) Real Estate Agent Designation will teach you how Staging works, and how to effectively communicate the benefits of Home Staging to your prospective clients. Will Staging help sell my listings? Yes it will, and we have the numbers to proof it! Statistics gathered by Stagedhomes.com shows that 95.6% of homes Staged® by an Accredited Staging® Professional®, ASP®, sell within 37 days compared to an average of 212 days for non-Staged® homes. ASP® Staged® homes are on the market 83% less time than a non-Staged® home. One of my Staging phrases I developed along the way is, “Buyers ONLY know what they See, not the way it’s going to be!” Staging helps prospective buyers visualize what it will be to live in a home. These days most consumers start their search online and it is absolutely essential that a home for sale shows well before a prospective buyer has visited the property. A Staged home will have a tremendous impact both online and in person. Another of my favorite sayings is “The investment of Staging your home is less than your first price reduction.” Given our current market conditions, this message is no doubt among the most compelling messages you must relay to sellers.
