Next spring when you see geese heading north for the summer, flying along in a “V” formation, you might be interested in what has been discovered about why they fly that way. It has been learned that as each bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a “V” formation, the flock can fly over 70% farther than if each goose flew on its own.
Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance trying to go it alone, and quickly falls back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the goose immediately in front.
When a goose gets sick, two geese fall out of formation and follow him down to help and protect him. They stay with him until he is well again and able to fly. Then they launch out together in formation to catch up with their flock. When the lead goose gets tired she rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point. The geese honk from behind to encourage each other to keep up their effort and speed.
This is also a parallel to me of all of the great work we are accomplishing together. We accomplish this with our passion and mission of Home Staging through our wonderful network of ASP’s®, through our valuable site of Stagedhomes.com, and through our truly professional association and site of IAHSP®.
I believe that people who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier, because they are traveling with the thrust of one another.Through teamwork and words of encouragement that we give to each other as ASPs® and ASPMs®, we gain strength, courage, and direction.
Many of you have heard me say or write my feelings and belief that ‘More means More for all’ and “Together we can do anything and together we accomplish everything.”
Every time I have shared this with you I have always thought of the wonderful story above and it gives me joy to share this story with you now at this special time of year.

We all pray that the new year brings more opportunites and good for all. We must hold the ‘positive light and attitude’ that there will be increased good business for all those that serve and work for betterment of others. My grandfather always said, “Remember as you help others accomplish their goals you will achieve your goals as well.” I have always felt that this is true as we Stage® Homes and/or List Homes the ASP® way.
